For my bachelor's thesis I am in need of a certain formula. I think the fading echoes formula or a part of it might do the trick. I recall that it was on the forum before, but now that we are switched to the new scoring system, I can't find it anywhere.

Would anyone be so kind to point me towards this formula?

Is this what you're looking for?

The points system used is called "Fading Echoes".

It means your most recent games have more impact on your score than games played previously. Only your last 50 games count for your total.

Your 1-10 most recent games count for 100% of their value (solo victory is worth 12 points)

Games 11-20 count for 80% of their value (solo victory is worth 9.60 points)

Games 21-30 count for 60% of their value (solo victory is worth 7.20 points)

Games 31-40 count for 40% of their value (solo victory is worth 4.80 points)

Games 41-50 count for 20% of their value (solo victory is worth 2.40 points)

Games 50+ count for 0% of their value (solo victory is worth 0.00 points)

No in formula form, it might look quite obvious. But I can't get it right, so I thought this might give me some inspiration.

It should be some summation of the points earned and that decreases over time.

Well, as a formula, the old system could be written

T = SUM (n = 1 to 50) R(n)/ceiling(n/10)

where T = your total score

n labels your previous game, with n=1 being the most recent

R(n) = points you got for game n

ceiling(x) = smallest integer larger than x
