Technically, parabellum, you don't quite meet the requirement. You'd also need to apply, and I don't make the decisions on approving applications.

You're fairly close, though.

Kimbyrle, I'll leave the rest up to you. In future, you should put a password on all Classicist games, including casual ones. PM it to the players once you've checked their membership; there are a couple ways for non-mods to do so.

Will do so -- wasn't thinking about it at the time. If I wouldn't be running afoul of a hard and fast rule regarding a Casual game, I'd like Parabellum to play.

It's more like your game wouldn't technically be Classicist any more, which isn't inherently bad, but it's something you should run by your other players.

Kim, if I were you, I'd just designate this as a "Kim" game, where you get to decide who you want to let in (Para) and who you do not want to let in (AKFD).
In which case you should not have put this in the Classicist forum, but no big deal.
You might have also tried using a password, if you want to be in charge of who plays in your game.

That's what I'm considering it. Apologies to the Classicists for going about this wrong, I'll get it right next time. :)

Maybe I should just recreate it as a PW game, send the PW to invited players, and go from there.

That would be an option; it's up to you.

I just withdrew from the 2PC tournament in which I was seed 2 and arguably the only undefeated player (8-0)... so I won't be playing any Diplomacy games any time soon (at least not until my depression and emotions are in check); don't save a seat for me.

Ah, ok. Thought you were interested. But no worries!

Not including the short games from the tactical 2PC tournament, I've only been in 4 games of Diplomacy in the last 3 years--I'm essentially still retired and have to be in a great mood for me to join a game, sorry.
I like to keep an eye on the forum and I sadly have to disappoint many who think that I might join certain games (like Jack, who thought I would join your mentor game).
My apologies, it's infinitely more fun for me to joke around than to have to clarify that I won't be joining a game.

If you need another to complete your "menage a sept", I'd be titilated elated delighted happy begrudgingly willing to join. Pootle will vouch for my ability to drop innuendo into every crevice, and I can think of nothing more enjoyable than competing with 4 other guys over the right to be nibbled on by Pootle and a friend.
