Question about Face-to-Face Maps (esp. Variant maps)

Postby NoPunIn10Did » 29 Feb 2016, 18:44

For people who play a lot of face-to-face:

What do you generally use to represent the map? Do you just use an edition of the Avalon Hill board game?

I've seen laminated posters used before so that orders can be drawn directly on the board, then erased. I've also heard of using corkboard and pushpins.

What works best for you, particularly if you're playing a variant map (and thus don't have an official board to use)?
