BADAss Beer House Game -- SF Bay Area, May 18

Postby WHSeward » 03 May 2014, 21:35

The Bay Area Diplomacy Association's next event

Date: Sunday, May 18, 2014
Time: 11:00 AM
Place: Steins Beer Garden and Restaurant
895 Villa St, Mountain View, CA 94041

Don't drink? Don't worry about it, we have some under-21s coming so the atmosphere will be accommodating. (On the other hand, having a beer while negotiating over Belgium is fun!)

Any interest in seeing if you are half as good with those lies and deceit when you have to look 'em in the eye? Come join us.

The Beer House Game was a great success. Just one board today, but it was a hard and well fought game. Very good time was had by all.

At a BAD Ass game, you never know who might show up and this game was no exception. Chris Martin, president of the North American Diplomacy Federation was visiting from out of town and graced us with his presence.

That is Chris on the left sitting with Alex Amann, a BAD Ass Dipper if ever there was one.

PlayDipper, Joshcruz made his BAD Ass debut. Welcome to the Bay Area Josh!

Did I mention we were playing at a Beer House? Yeah, it was a good time.

When we had had enough and called a draw, there were 5 still standing: A-F-G-I-R. Chris's Germany was the board leader at 12. (Gotta go easy on the guest, right?)

Hope to see more PlayDippers at the next event.

kmo! Welcome to PlayDip. Glad to see a BAD Ass event adding to the PlayDip ranks!

To the rest of PlayDip, today was kmo's first ever game of Diplomacy and he rocked it ftf as Austria. Watch out if he picks up a game on the site - you have been warned. Here is a mug shot so you'll recognize him if he wanders into one of your games ;)

Uh kmo, looks like you need another beer...
