My location remains correct...

within an acceptable margin of error

Stabbing in Diplomacy is like fighting in Hockey...
though it's part of the game - it doesn't HAVE to be.

I added my location! :D

Unfortunately, there´s nobody near me to play :(

I am not on said map, as:
1) I never heard of this before today, and;
2) I do not have and am not sure I want/need a "Google ID or Gmail address" (WTF are they?)

(and did anyone else notice Nermal is drowning somewhere off the coast of Baja?)

First,
Craw, I would be happy to do it for you. :) Just PM or post your city and state and I will put your marker in your (approximate) location. There is no need for everyone to have a G-mail account (though I like mine). ;)

Second;
You never heard of this before!!!
I would expect that form the average player and forum reader, but never from you!
You, The Craw, the lifetime VIP, man of a thousand avatars, self appointed new player welcome comity, great sage or the high post count!
I thought nothing on this site was unknown to you! :shock:
This has been on the site for over a year now! And you LIVE here!
No, really you live here, in fact, I have long suspected that you got ahold of the human digitizing ray gun from TRON and had long ago immigrated to this website and the internet in general, there by granting yourself immortality! ;)

This was the original thread . . . .

Strangely enough it appears that you did not post on it so I suppose your story has the ring of truth, that is it rings true. ;)

This is what I get for not paying attention to my PM's...

I am in approximately the correct location. Which puts 3 in place in Philly for Diplomacy face-to-face (hint hint...)

The Feb. 1st deadline is approaching and special thanks to all of you who have let me know that your markers are still current. You are however a minority . . . . .

As of now lots of folks will get there markers removed, come February.
But I don’t see that as a problem as anyone can replace themselves back on the map at any time. So I won’t be making any special effort to further contact people.

I may not get to doing the update exactly on the 1st and it may take a few days depending on my schedule, but I don’t think any one sees it as a truly urgent thing that must be done with out delay. ;)

After I take care of this, I intend to finish my two currently active games (that I am badly loosing :lol: :lol: ) and take a sabbatical, of sorts, from all things Diplomacy. I probably won’t be back until, at least, after Pascha.

In the event that I am never heard from again, . . . . . :?
:D I would like to say how pleased I am that some of you are actually using this forum (and hopefully the map) to arrange actual F2F games. :D
I ask that, next January, one of you who have actually used this forum to arrange a F2F take it on yourself to give the map another cleaning as a sort of “thank you” to the site for allowing you a place to organize your game. Whoever you are, I recommend that to minimize your effort you simply delete all markers and then post on the forum telling people it’s time to place themselves on the map again. Whether you want to send messages to each person is up to you. :) (Of cource I will probably be back in time to do all this myself next January, but you know . . . . just sayin . . . .)

I love that you put me in the middle of the flipping runway at the Marine Airbase! :roll:
