Mentor game 05-Dec-16 in confirmation

If you are new to the site, and especially if you are new to the game, this might be a good way to start some games. Mentors will help with the mechanics of the game.

Hi, I would like to play a game with a mentor please. I have played a considerable amount in the past, by telephone or by letter, 30 to 40 years ago.

Greetings,
I've only played Diplomacy once or twice when I was a teenager. I used to play a lot of Axis and Allies and I've been playing a lot of Risk on my phone. I'd love to learn some diplomacy. Is there a leisurely game I can join to learn the ropes?

Thanks,
Zoidberg

Not exactly a mentored game, but please post if you're interested in a "beginner's" game. I can set one up with a password so us newbies can play. I went ahead and tried to play a real one but got torn up pretty quickly - partly because I screwed up a couple of rules. A newbie game might be more fun...

I have played before, but not online. Maybe I should take a swing at a mentor game in any case.
