Can "Friends" or "Schools" games be paused?

Hi all,

We'd like to set up a game amongst friends and communicate offline and online, and we'd also like to be able to pause the game when one of us doesn't have internet access. Is this possible in either "Friends" or "Schools" games, in the former by the game creator, in the latter by the Game Master?

Also - we'd all be on the same corporate network with the same IP address. Would this be a problem?

Yes, those games can be paused, but it is not in control of the game creator or teacher in a schools game. There is a pause game function on the game page. If a player proposes a pause and all of the other players agree to it, then the game will not set a phase deadline inside of the pause period. (NB: if all of the players finalize in a pause period, then a phase will still execute.)

No problem sharing a corporate IP for a friends of schools game. Questions will get asked if you do that in a norank or rank game.

I'll just add in answer to the IP question. If you do share a rank/nonrank game, as long as you are behaving well within the rules, it won't be a big deal at all. A shared IP by itself doesn't worry us as long as it is clear that the players are abiding by our rules.
